Barcelona, 15-16 June 2011 Year 2011 is a challenging momentum in trans-European customs handling; new regulations are coming into force (e.g. ENS and EXS procedures since last January) and the horizon of the Modernised Customs Code is getting closer.

Differential knowledge and positioningEurTradeNet has a significant European representation that covers the most relevant geographies in terms of volume of foreign trade operations and cross-border management. The relevant international bodies and institutions acknowledge the ETN differential values. EurTradeNet concluded a contract with DG INFSO for market validation, and the European Commission filmed a video of the ETN initiative as a trans-European success in eCustoms. But even more important is the “recognition” at the international bodies in charge of customs matters: EurTradeNet is a stable member of the TCG or Trade Contact Group organised by DG TAXUD to cross-check the new directives and operational approaches with traders before coming into force; and at the World Customs Organisation EurTradeNet is an active participant at the IMSC or Information Management Sub-Committee, and a member of the WCO Data Model Project Team. |
