Services

The end customers of EurTradeNet are its Partners and Members; the CRSPs associated to ETN get specialised information to better prepare their local deployment of eCustoms challenges, being more visible at the International level thus accessible to participate in global projects through trans-European service provision.

The specialised eCustoms information comes from both internal and external sources. From EurTradeNet itself, the ETNers are advised on global directives but also on European diversities, the problems and solutions being implemented in their neighbour countries, accessing to all the analysis and joint activities of the whole Alliance. They get the global specifications and can use the standard IT components to configure their own National gateways to communicate with the partners abroad. And they also get updated in-a-continuum on the ETN common interchanging standards: the so called UIDS (Unified Interchange Data Structure) developed by EurTradeNet for all customs procedures (transits, import and export, manifest and intrastat, and even EMCS) and tested in real operations with the leading traders, carriers and forwarders. UIDS is maintained centrally at EurTradeNet as new regulations are defined at the EC level, and the ETNers crucially contribute to its full European validity by showing their own local singularities and the deployment decisions made at their National level.

But EurTradeNet makes also available for its partners and members the specialised information coming from the international sources the ETN Alliance is linked to. As the professional association actively participating at the working sessions of relevant bodies such as DG TAXUD and WCO, EurTradeNet has access to their internal info- servers and acts as the distributor of this sector knowledge to its membership. And complementary know-how also comes from the other players involved in foreign trade, since EurTradeNet is seated right beside the more traditional European trade associations of air and sea freight, the ones grouping together the express couriers and the forwarders, the rail and road transportation unions, and the most relevant industrial and commercial European alliances. Participating at the Trade Contact Group sessions together (and at the Electronic Customs Group as requested), being all stable attendants to the international discussions at the WCO and UN/CEFACT, also ad-hoc meetings are organised with these agents completing the value-chain; thus the ETNers are fully aware, right at the correct moment and with the needed level of detail, on all the intermediate outcomes and final decisions from the eCustoms sector.

ETN is the knowledge broker for the customs-related service providers in Europe

Being part of EurTradeNet, working close to the other leading customs service providers Europe-wide, having prompt specialised information from the global sector and getting an international visibility that is hard to reach as a single company from one country … the ETN partners and members overpass their own local prestige to become a reliable partner for multi-country collaborations and global projects.
