ETN won the respect (and awards) of the Global Institutions

The key institutions dealing with Information Technology and Customs internationally acknowledge the differential know-how and value-proposition of EurTradeNet.

DG INFSO co-funded the market validation of ETN

eTEN C029320 (2005 - 2007)

EurTradeNet is aimed at enterprises, traders and intermmediate agents with the need of moving goods through the European space, and seeking the off-country online submittal of customs procedures. The ETN Alliance extends the National scope of the leading Customs-Related Service Providers to a trans-European level. The ETN partners work together to strengthen their repective markets by offering a coordinated service portfolio based on their local know-how and all the expertise available Europe-wide, promoting unified standards and interconnecting solutions cross-border.

The EC Directorate-General Information Society launched the eTEN programme to stimulate the deployment of innovative, trans-European e-services of social or economic interest ... and eTEN supported the market validation and business planning for EurTradeNet and its international expansion. ETN was nominated Project of the Month in April 2007, and the EC decided to produce a video of the Project, its collaborative approach  and main benefits for the stakeholders.

Active participation of EurTradeNet at the eCustoms Committees

(WCO and DG TAXUD)

EurTradeNet is not one private company under a concrete brand; it is a unique knowledge network grouping together key players in the foreign trade sector, those ones serving the information handling and communication with customs authorities in their own country, and implementing in real the new regulations and directives coming from the European Commission and other relevant international bodies.

ETN has a valuable and complementary vision on the needs and requirements of the different actors they serve Europe-wide (importers and expeorters, forwarders and integrators, sea and air freight) and promotes the use of unified interchanging standards to approach trans-National environments through multi-entity professional collaborations.

The global institutions, namely the World Customs Organisation  and DG TAXUD at the European Commission, have acknowledged the differential expertise of EurTradeNet, being invited more and more to take active part of their discussion fora and working groups.

Since 2008 EurTradeNet is an active participant at the internal groups of the WCO, the most relevant ones being the Information Management Sub-Committee and the Data Model Project Team.

And from January 2009 EurTradeNet is a stable member of The Trade Contact Group, organised by DG TAXUD as the forum to exchange with the traders' associations the new concepts being analysed at the EC level and the customs regulations to be implemented Europe-wide.

This way the ETN partners upgrade their prestige from the local to the global level, having a high&early voice on the re-design of all customs matters, the new electronic procedures and supporting tools to deploy in the EU.
